Larger deck, heater and some type of solar setup

Family member mentioned I should invest in one of these, claims it makes the pool so much warmer, I want to mention that he does not have a heater on his pool, I dont see how it could possibly make the pool warmer? What about the rest of you all, tried it ? Worth it ?

OHHH MY... NOO! Don't do this! I have seen the construction of leech beds and there are alot of different layers, sand, stone, dirt etc. I'm thinking this would not be ideal surface to place a pool on.

I too made this mistake, once the CYA is too high it seems like nothing works and in my case I kept getting algae growing and clogging the filter. I did several partial drain and refill till I got it down, hard to believe a 5-10 FC and algae grows.

YOU all keep Murphy at you pools and staying in your spare bedroom, cause I dont want him here, he visits frequently enough!

Do you have an amp probe? Or know someone who does? If you get one: Start pump and run it, put amp probe on black wire on incoming power line, assuming its a 120 volt motor; 220 volts it does not matter which wire (wherever you can access it). Read the amount of amps being drawn. Now, look...
