    Manual relief valve leaking

Thanks, gave that a try, no luck. But I was able to get it back apart, took the valve off and tried cleaning and lubing it up and that seemed to work

    Manual relief valve leaking

I took my filter apart this morning to clean it and ever since I can't seem to get the manual relief valve on the top to seal all the way. I've taken the top back off and checked it from the inside and nothing appears to be wrong that I can tell. I've also played with it from the top side with...

    PH test turning cherry red

Just wanted to follow up on this, I wrote to the manufacturer and found that what I bought is equivalent to R-0004 which requires the bigger 44ml comparator. It turned out to be cheaper (and less wasteful) to get the compatible comparator than to get new R-0014 and now my PH test is working...

    PH test turning cherry red

Lesson learned the hard way I guess. Upon closer reading what I bought was Phenol Red #2, which is for a 5 way comparator. If I could figure out the volume in the 5 way comparator, and the number of drops used I should still be able use it in one of my extra TF kit vials for testing...

    PH test turning cherry red

    PH test turning cherry red

I bought some of the BlueDevil phenol red (here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DP5CSKW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_DMbuzb2SMA9E7) to save some money by getting a larger volume but using the standard 5 drops the test turns bright cherry red, even on my tap water. Could the reagent be bad or do I need to...

Is my new pump supposed to be this loud?

As promised, I got the quiet fences in and it actually made a noticeable difference in the noise levels. I definitely need to order a few more to get better coverage though

Looking for ballpark cost to heat my pool

When I had my 400k Btu heater hooked up the gas man gave me a quick and dirty breakdown. He said roughly 100k BTUs = 1 therm = $1 (in Las Vegas). My pool is very similar in size (except only goes to 5') and he estimated at least 24 hours to heat
