I can see bottom! Cloudy but all levels are good. We are seeing progress daily! The Bobby method seems to be working slowly but surely!

Thanks all. Yesterday I broke down and drained the pool. When we first started this process there were lots of beer cans and bottles at the bottom. I started wondering if there was more junk down there we weren't getting. We drained to 10 inches and discovered there were lots of cigarette butts...

Yes we vacuum even though we can't see. We have gotten in the nasty pool to scrub the floors and walls. Removed all large debris by hand. So we just keep at shock level indefinitely until clear?

I should have added that we had it at shock level for over a week. Stabilizer is at about 50 now. We used pool calculator to get to shock levels which we maintained for 8 days. Do we just keep it at shock level until it turns clear?

OK so I've been lurking for 3 weeks reading everything here. We bought a home two months ago with a swamp green pool that had not been cleaned in a couple years. We have gotten it to the bluish green cloudy color and it won't get any better. So before I go on here is all my info. 24 by 48 above...
