IC60 manual CYA levels contradict TFP recommendations

I'll take real life experience over what's written in the manual any day ,every day. That's what mainly brought me to this forum to begin with. I apply this rule to many aspects if not all of my life;) so far it never failed me

IC60 manual CYA levels contradict TFP recommendations

Thanks, as I keep on reading l also found another discrepancy. The manual recommends 2-4 FC levels otherwise everything will corrode and blow up  while TFP suggests anywhere from 5 to 12 ppm. Quite a spread! Here's the exact wording from the manual: Desired Free Chlorine is 2.0-4.0 ppm...

IC60 manual CYA levels contradict TFP recommendations

Hi, future new pool owner here. In process of pulling permits now. I'm in MA so excavation and concrete will be done this year, plaster and decking next year. So I figured I'll read and learn for now. I was reading IC60 manual and it calls for 30-50 ppm for CYA while TFP chart recommends 60-90...

Educate me on auto cover. Is it worth it?

From what I understood reading other posts and reviews people with darker color covers end up replacing it much earlier (5-7 years) Dark attracts more UV/Sun and therefore deteriorates faster. Educate me on auto cover. Is it worth it?

I forgot to mention that I'm debating between auto cover and fence so yes there'll be at least one layer of security. Having good stuff in and bad stuff out is a valid point and I thought about it but then looked around and the closest tree is 50 yards away so the only dirt will probably be...

Educate me on auto cover. Is it worth it?

Hi, I'm about to start a new inground pool construction and can't make my mind whether or not I should install auto cover or do without. I'm in MA and was quoted just shy of 30K for auto cover option. Those who have it, is it worth it? As of now the only justification I can think of is I'll save...

Hi, new member here . I'm in process of getting a quote on 40x20 (maybe 36x18, yet to be tetermined) inground gunite pool. I'm pretty much all decided on all opitions and features except one.
