Hi CyclingCraig, I spoke with the engineer and he asked if you could put a voltmeter on the incoming power to the power supply to make sure you have good voltage going to the power supply. Can you confirm your voltage with a volt meter and post the results back to this thread? Thanks so much!

Unfortunately I'm not aware of an add-on diffuser that you can purchase. We do carry a $150 LED Bulb that has pretty broad beam spectrum, you could possibly return the $70 bulb you purchased and get one of these PureLine PureColors LED Bulbs

Yes what you stated is spot on and correct. You could actually replace the bulb after the fixture installation but it would be easier to do it first.

I would suggest the replacing the incandescent bulb inside the Pentair 78456300 Amerlite with a PureColors LED Color Changing Bulb. I like the combination of the Amerilite with the PureColors bulb as the PureColors bulb is replaceable. If you go with something like the Pentair Intellibrite...

Hi elblair, Sometimes when attempting to seal lids similar to these air pressure inside works against the lid. You might want to makes sure the air relief valve and/or even the drain cap is open as you try to seal the lid down.
