We use the batteries and charge them every 3-4 months. For quick 1-5 minute daily checks it takes a long time to drain the Arlo Pro batteries.

There is a pond down the hill on the right side of our house. Oddly enough we tracked him with our security camera coming from the front yard to the beach entry and into the pool. He swam in the pool for a couple of hours before my husband found him and took him back to the pond.

He tried to bite my husband when he tried to scoop him out with a net. I now check the bottom before jumping in. :p

He was not happy to be relocated! ;)

For my next addition, I'm going to follow Dirk's lead and add a Pentair intelliph. My pentair installer is booked until August though :(
