    Swim -n- play pool parts

Far fetch, but in doing some recon trying to figure what pool I even have the only one that makes sense is SwimNPlay Galveston. The only site I can find that seems to match my caps is Pools > Parts & Maintenance They do NOT see to have rails though.

    Borates and Closing Kits

With the season coming to an end. Following the methods here and possibly using a Poly60 during the winter, if I currently still have about 30ppm of Borates in the water, I am assuming I can rely on that vs using a Poly? My second question is about the closing kits. Lets take In TheSwim for...

I also test and add at night. well as the sun is close to down. Give the added FC time to do its thing without competing with the sun like Casey said.

    Hypothetical Extremely low pH

no, in the 18000 gallons, the 5 gallons of MA drops TA by 139, so to get from 240 to 100, it was 5 gallons. :(

    Hypothetical Extremely low pH

Lol Thanks @Donldson. So even after adding that 5 gallons, the impact should be minimal or null? and how long would it take pH to bounce back on its own without using borax or soda ash to bring it up manually.

    Hypothetical Extremely low pH

supposed starting TA was 240, were told to add it to lower the TA to 100, and its above ground. IDK the exacts on the filter and pump. Just more so on how adding all 5 gallons at once would affect things. and of course this person did add all 5 gallons already.

    Hypothetical Extremely low pH

So there was a post on a FB group where they were told to add in 5 gallons of MA. This was an 18000 gallon pool. As soon as I read that I immediately told them NOT do add all that at once as it (according to pool math) would drop pH about 8.5 and it would cause damage. So hypothetically, if...
