I just did some re-piping as well. First I would say the goal is to fully seat connections. Also, be sure to use the ratchet cutter properly, as even that makes a difference on the cuts. I say that because I made the mistake of not paying attention to that. So I try have everything measured...

Hi everyone, Glad to be here. Had a large in ground ~30k gal in FL growing up (yeah, I was the pool guy there too) Swore I would “never” own a swimming pool when I was older. Well…I said “never”…so, here I am…but on a smaller scale. :)
