You need to have this cover tight. The water will pool for a while, but it will drain into the pool. I use mine with an aqua door and am very pleased. Last spring I only had to add 4" of water to start the pool up.

There is always more than one way to skin a cat. I have been doing high heat brisket for years. The bark suffers but the product is good.
Instead of buying those cheap back wash hoses go to a Granger's and buy a trash pump hose with the fittings you need. They cost the same and last for years.
I have a motorized Awntech and love it! I don't know where you're located, but if you have a winter I recommend that you buy the winter cover also.
