    Thank you so much for the detailed explanation James - :) There was a pool guy who came a few years back and replaced the motor - I think it must be his doing. Will try and figure it out with the help you gave me - much appreciated

    So looks like the problem is no power to the transformer primary - is that normally live and neutral - the power is coming from a dipole switch. Can I just power the transformer primary directly with live&neutral and check? @JamesW getting an electrician is what I will have to do once reach...

    Hello TFBs, I am facing a problem with my pool control panel not turning on - I opened the front panel and replaced the fuse but that did not fix it. I checked for power at the transformer AC side and there is ``NO`` power. the battery 9v was dead as well - going to replace that.
