I assume the cell needs to be removed to visibly check if there is scale?

Is there a routine on how often the cell should be cleaned or are there visible indicators to check? Or other indicators? I have not cleaned or looked at it since it was installed last June (have had no issues so never crossed my mind to look into it).

Is there a certain time of the year when pool water evaporation is more significant than others? This is my first March with a pool and it seems more noticeable than previous months (last June until now).

Adding the one bag evenly across the length of the pool then brush

I’m going to add to add a 40lb bag to bring my salt level back up. Since I am not adding multiple bags and not starting with freshwater, is it necessary to turn off the SWG when adding? What happens if the SWG is running while salt is added?
