    Our pH keeps spiking high and has been sitting between a 7.6-7.8, reaching as high as 8 during our first 30 days. Our pool guy comes out once a week and adjusts but I'm still concerned about this affecting our new plaster?

    I think you are right. We just had to get a hose attachment for the cleaner line, so we'll just be sticking with that from now on.

    The hose I bought needs some kind of attachment to the cleaner line I hadn't purchased yet so we were using the Skimmer. I'm okay using the cleaner line now though.

    I tried to put my vacuum into the Skimmer line today and it was causing the pool Pump to Surge everytime. We tried it in the cleaner intake and it was working fine. Can anyone advise on what is happening? I'm afraid to vacuum now.

    New Pool Owner Here, hello

    We live in San Diego and just installed a new pool. I have a lot to learn so I am hoping to use this resource for my millions of questions that I'm sure will come up and maybe I'll even be able to help answer a few once I have some experience.
