Air in return with roof solar OFF but not when ON?

So I have a hydrotools above ground pump and my pool is semi - inground and for some reason I get a ton of air bubbles when I just have the pump running, but when I open the roof valve so the water can travel up to the roof solar panels then there is absolutely no air in the return in the pool...

Does this sound right for an electric pool heater?

Would I be correct in that (with google AI) a 75000 btu electric heater like the one linked below, would use roughly 2-3KW an hour? If you're saying that should be big enough to raise the temp at least 1 degree an hour, then if my pool water right now is 72, and I want to raise it to at least 85...

Does this sound right for an electric pool heater?

So I’m assuming gas is just the way to go? Not sure what my gas costs per therm but I know my electricity is $.43 per KW and if I get a big electric heater it will be more costly than gas.

Does this sound right for an electric pool heater?

So I literally have the same pool and was looking at this heater. This reviewer said 1 degree an hour for a 35,000 btu heater in so-cal (and I have a blanket). 1-2 degrees an hour? Is that possible with only a 35k btu and 7-8,000 gallons? https://a.co/d/iEgkxUA

    Cloudiness after shocking with liquid

Used the Home Depot liquid chlorine yesterday to shock my pool… Got the free chlorine up to around 20 which is what the calculator says to raise it to… Today it’s down to 12. Total alkalinity and pH levels are perfect… Today free chlorine is down to 12 with no combined chlorine, algae is all...

    Does shock affect cya testing?

Well I drained it and am refilling. I am having this algae looking stuff at the bottom of the entire pool. Any chance this is mustard?

    Does shock affect cya testing?

Wow, I did not realize that. How the F do most people not have cya skyrocketing when I feel like most people use powdered shock or pucks?!

    Does shock affect cya testing?

i don’t know how it could be that high. I maybe used 10-15 pucks. Before that I was using liquid chlorine without sunblock. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Shock-Plus-1-lb-Pool-Shock-12136PTM/302895474

    Does shock affect cya testing?

Well I know the test doesn’t go to that but it’s pretty much at the very bottom of the test tube and I can’t see the dot no matter what light I look at with.

    Does shock affect cya testing?

No I’m using the Taylor 2006 kit!

    Does shock affect cya testing?

Basically I’ll just ask it like this….if I added a couple bags of shock and brushed the bottom of the pool, then tested my cya numbers (because I forgot to do it first) and the test showed my cya at like 150, could that be because I shocked / brushed the pool? I did used to use the stabilized...

I’m getting good suction but don’t know if it would be any better without some of these bends…?
