Thanks for the comment about leaks, ill continue to work to eliminate them. The pump came assembled and is under warranty. All I had to do was connect the hoses so I haven't touched the pump otherwise. I reached out to the dealer but my guess is ill have to go directly to hayward for warranty...

Pump is leaking directly from 2 bolts from what I can see....is this also normal? I recognize a drop ever 20 seconds isn't much considering the pool is 8000 gallons, but man I'd really like to have zero leaks.

Recently installed hayward 1.5hp pump and sand filter and I've got leaks galore! I've done countless plumbing jobs around my properties over the years so I understand initial leaks are almost always expected on new installs as you find the right happy medium. Not too tight not too loose, etc...

Long story short we are putting in a above ground, metal wall, rectangle pool but the vast majority of the ground below the pool is solid rock (little to no dirt). We were able to easily level the area with 3/4 aggregate so no issues there, but my concern now that I'm a bit more educated is how...
