    ok well this is really depressing, according to the pool calculator if my CYA level is 200 and goal is 80 then i need to replace 60% of my water, how did this happen?

    according to the test kit, since i diluted half of the cya test with tap water it's saying my CYA level is more like 200

    i just noticed the post about my SWG running a lot, yes it has pretty much been running non stop because i'm fighting algae and was told it was best to leave the water constantly circulating until problem is resolved.

    well i wouldn't say that the result of the first being brown and then turning to red chunks applies to me. It immediately goes in orange and stays orange and never dissolves..it basically looks like you putting vegetable oil in a glass of water, it just sortof moves around when i shake it but...

    well when i was taking it to the pool store to get it tested the person there said the chlorine would show a color for a second and then it would disappear real fast and i dont know if that means that it was almost a one or what that means, i mean he said he had never seen it do that before
