    FC 10 PH 7.2 CC 0 TA 70 CYA 40 Testing took place 24hrs after I pulled the cover off and circulation. The water temp 57.

    Take the skimmer basket out use a rubber plug for the line. Cut a 8 inch piece off the end of a noodle. Place it in skimmer. Done! Or use a gizmo and call it a day.

    I bring my FC to shock level the day before closing. I do not use polyquat 60. People use it for extra insurance against algae. If you close the pool with water temperatures below 60 consistently you should not need this algaecide.

    I live in upstate ny. My water temp is 70and slowly falling. I hope by next weekend the temperature is falls into the low 60's and close it up.

    I like to keep water out of my skimmer, so I seal sides and center hole with duct tape. It's not necessary but that's just how I like things to be.

    I seal mine off just because I don't want water in my skimmer. It's still plugged with a gizmo though. Its not necessary to seal it off.. it's just how I like to do things.

    I put a piece of duct tape over it and around all 4 sides.
