Should i be maintaining my shock levels at 10-12 with a CYA of about 25 instead of maintaining them at around 20? Im having trouble getting my CC to .05 or less and passing the overnight test.

here are my latest number: last night FC- 25 CC-2.5 this morning FC- 18 CC 2.5 PH-7.5 I have been adding chlorine at least 3 times a day. Am i on the right track? the pool looks great. Im trying to keep the FC at 20 or so but i can get my CC to .05 or less. My last CYA (2 day ago) was about 25.

Ok so just to be clear. I will add 233 oz of 12.5% (says the Calculator) and once i reach 15 PPM i have to try and maintain that until i lose 1 ppm or less overnight and then i raise my CYA to about 30. correct.

can you swim at the higher FC levels greater than 15?

So how do i know when the conversion is complete? Do i keep adding chlorine/bleach until my FC is between 3-7 and my CC is what >.5? What about shocking to bring them more in line?
