Inherited Autopilot LS1000 - How to get it working?

Thanks proavia! That's very helpful. Looking at the troubleshooting section of the manual, it seems the first step to solve the flow sensor issue is to install a new "956 tri-sensor cable". Would you guys recommend trying the tri-sensor cable first, or just go ahead and get a new tri-sensor...

Inherited Autopilot LS1000 - How to get it working?

Thanks guys. I found a wire coming from the bottom of the Autopilot control panel that was wrapped around a pipe not connected to anything. My guess it it should go to the flow sensor/switch. It is also frayed and damaged so I don't think it will be useful to me. I have good flow through...

Inherited Autopilot LS1000 - How to get it working?

Hi mknauss, I have a Pentair Challenger 343234 pump. There doesn't appear to be a way to change its speed. I can just turn it on/off via timer switch. Maybe there is something wrong with the flow sensor? Here's another photo of my set up. EDIT: The water seems to first flow through a...

Inherited Autopilot LS1000 - How to get it working?

Hello! I purchased a house a couple years ago and the pool has an Autopilot LS1000 SWCG. I didn't know what it was at the time or how to operate it so I've just been maintaining the pool with liquid chlorine/bleach for the past 2 years. I've been looking at it recently and wondering how I...

Air leak at pool pump connection

Hi Jimrahbe! Thanks for the reply. They did find some leaks in the paster of the pool. I used some hardening pool putty and it seems to be holding well. I originally called them because the water level kept decreasing. I haven't had any problems since. This seems like a good idea. I was...

Air leak at pool pump connection

Hello! I had a leak detection company come to find leaks in the pool and one of the things they noticed was an air leak where the PVC is connected to the pump. I've only recently moved into this house, but there has always been air viewable through the top of the basket cover of the pump, so I...

Looking for tips for leak repair by pool company

So in my search for this leak I realized that the water goes down faster when the pump is running. I also found a spot that I think is close to the leak source. There's a crack in the concrete that appears wet, even on dry sunny days. I never noticed this before since the pump runs at night and...

Looking for tips for leak repair by pool company

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to do some more research around here and see what I can find out. The guy that had come out didn't really seem to interested and only took all of 5 minutes with the syringe going around the pool and didn't even check all of the returns. I thought about...

Hello! I have a leak in my pool that I'm unable to find and I resorted to calling a professional in to find and repair the leak. I'm looking for any tips in handling this so I don't get scammed. I'm a first time home owner and this is our first major project using some type of...

    Leaking pipe/hose connection

Yeah I'll definitely try unscrewing the parts before hacking away at it. I don't think tightening will help though because there's an actual crack in the plastic. In the picture you can see the crack/black line at the end of where the arrow points.

    Leaking pipe/hose connection

Thanks for the help! That top white part kind of looks like this (I have no idea) Apparently called a "PVC Reducer Bushing"? I wonder if it would be as simple as getting a new piece like this and unscrewing the old one out.

    Leaking pipe/hose connection

Hello! Recently bought a house and I just managed to get the pool from swamp to clean and now there is a major leak forcing me to turn the pump off completely until it gets fixed. I went outside and I noticed the pump was making a weird noise and wasn't pumping water, turns out it had no...
