Does anyone know whether the new controllers are still being built with reversing relays or have they gone solid state. If solid state, when did they change over. Thanks.

I'm confused by the term "sensor." Are you all referring to the Flow Sensor that screws into the line in front of the cell? All it is is a pair of contacts that close when the water pressure is sufficient. I've never had to repair or replace one in 12 years so I don't understand the terms...

Check your flow switch. If it failed in the closed position, power would have turned onto the cell before it filled with (cooling) water and caused it to overheat.
