    Newbie Question on pool opening

Get the PH down(7.2-7.4) then I would get the FC level up to around 15 and hold it there while you gradually add CYA. You can add CYA and CHL at the same time, but remember CYA will take a few days to dissolve. When FC holds overnight, the algea is gone and should start clearing up in a few...

    What's your current pool temp?

    80. With tomorrow going to 32degC, I predict pool will hit 85.

    Pool nowhere near

Color is nice now. Maintain shock and let the filter do its job. Gonna take a few days to clear.

Yellow Algae bottom of pool otherwise Crystal clear

Having done some more Googling, MA, seems to like some shade which now makes sense as the north facing walls of my pool always have the most green/yellow algae. I think keeping the pool cover on during the day, encourages the formation of MA, even with FC at 5 @CYA70. I am going to pull off...

    Solar cover question

There is very little insulation provided by the pool cover so if the bubbles are popped and it still floats on top of the water I think its fine. Over 70%(the exact number is debatable of course) of heat is lost due to evaporation and as long as the cover is still in one piece it will continue...

    help with shocking green pool

Go back to Wallmart and get more chlorine. As captured in POOL SCHOOL GREEN SWAMP, you will need to add a total of roughly 4 times , shock level before the pool is holding FC. The first of four schock batches usually gets all consumed by the algea, hence FC =0.

Yellow Algae bottom of pool otherwise Crystal clear

CHL is holding at 20-25 PPM this morning. Pool looks like the last stage my green spring swamp...I can see the drain but it will be another few days before its crystal clear.

Yellow Algae bottom of pool otherwise Crystal clear

Pollen...hmm. I wish?? I added 6@5L Wallmart bleach containers as per poolcalculator to get 20 PPM but I only measured 10ppm an hour after. The pool is a aqua-green in the deep end and a little milky now in the shallow end. I'll leave the pump running overnight with the SWG on and check it...

Yellow Algae bottom of pool otherwise Crystal clear

The last few days, the weather has been cloudy, so I left the solar pool cover on without running Kreepy Krawly. Pulled the cover off this morning and saw the pool floor was green, but the water was crystal clear. However, as Kreepy was cleaning the floor the pool started to haze...

    Auto Clear Plus fuse location

I assume the model is no longer generating chlorine. You can log on the Polaris website and chat online for a solution as they still support Autoclear SWG. Worked well for me with my Autoclear SWG that wasn't generating Chlorine and had an error. I had the cell for 6 years which is past...
