It's 7 years old, do I have to buy the whole unit? Is the power supply the same IC20/40? Also the pool is 10K gallons, If I have to replace I think a IC20 would be plenty, thoughts? Thanks, LB

It sounds like the cam slipped out of position. pull the cover off loosen the nut, align it, (once you figure out which cam it is really easy to adjust with the power on) and tighten the nut being careful not to let the cams rotate out of position. How was it fixed the first time? LB

We bought a home about a year ago with a 6 year old salt water pool, and have a white buildup around the spillway. What is it and best way to clean it? Thanks, LB

Thinking of cleaning up my valve actuator cabling, do any installers ever shorten these cables and recrimp the plugs rather than leaving all of the extra cable rolled up? It would sure clean up the install. Thanks, LB

Anyone have thoughts on replacing the impeller with the -8 unit for the 2hp wisperflo XF model? the diffuser is the same. LB

Hi Tuna, Sorry, (couldn't resist :)) My XF had a chirping motor, when the Tech heard I had 2" plumbing he swore up and down the pump was 2 big, cut it out and return it. He even went so far as to Flag the install with Pentair as illegal (because I was DIY) stating I had 1.5" pipe and no drain...

Yup I follow you! need to measure my pad and see if I have enough room for the check valve and 8-10" of pipe before the pump is there a flow issue having the spa come into the side if I re orientate the valve for my config? Thanks again, LB

Thanks for the input Jason, I forgot to mention re orientating the automated valve, the Pentair's are very easy to adjust the cams (is there a flow issue having the spa come into the side?) and yes, need to get creative with the pressure side to filter, will be tight to the filter, maybe pivot...

Here is a pic, move the 3way with actuator and check valve inline with suction, move the pump back about 10" give me about 8" from pump union not to check valve. Thanks! LB
