    Water too low?

Hi everyone, I started pumping out some water yesterday to prepare for closing my cool. After I turned off the pump, unfortunately it kept siphoning the water out.. Anyways, I am now about 18 inches below the skimmer. I've never had it this low and I am worried it's too low. I have an 18'...

Plumbing VS Electric .. Underground Preference?

Thanks! I thought that I had read somewhere it's more like a sprinkler line and can go as shallow as 10 inches. I read somewhere else that this guy only put them down 6 inches and he lived in upstate NY. So, as long as you winterize properly, and don't run any lawn aerators or heavy...

Plumbing VS Electric .. Underground Preference?

Hi All, We live in the Cleveland Ohio area, so our frost line is 42". We are putting in an 18' x 52' AGP and I would prefer to have the pump and filter in the "pump room" which is off the garage and was built specifically for pool equipment (there was an old pool on the property before we...

Hi! Are you required in your area to bond your pool since it's over 42"? I also just bought the Intex Sand Filter and can't figure out where to attach the bonding lug to attach to the bond grid. I don't believe it's double insulated and therefor requires bonding. Any help on this one would be...

Bonding an Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump

Ahh..that makes sense. My pool is over 42". So if it's not double insulated, and can't be bonded because there is no bonding point, then I think I got the wrong filter! :(

Bonding an Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump

Thanks Cjadamec! The weird thing is they do sell a model (I think it's a cartridge type) and it specifically says "double insulated", but this one (the sand filter) does not. There is also nothing in the owner's manual about bonding, and I can't locate a bonding point on the filter.

Bonding an Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump

Hi Everyone! Has anyone attached a bonding lug to an "Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 2800 GPH Pump Flow Rate, 110-120V with GFCI" ? If so, how? It's plastic as far as I can tell, but I don't believe it's double insulated and...
