Yes I am using Pool Math. Do I use the shock value or the algae value. The shock shows 16 and the algae shows 24. I did 24 first. Then tonight I done 16 because I was out of bleach

I just found out about the slam process today. I am willing to try that, I don't know where you are getting the shock level of 39. I used the pool calculator and it says shock is 16 and algae is 24. Can you explain where the 39 comes from

One more question....do I need to get it where there is a FC level of 3 ppm 24 hrs a day or just when done swimming?

I can't afford a test kit and chemicals at the same time till July. By that time the pool will be back to the way it was. Thanks for your advice, but I guess I'm out of luck.
