    Choosing a Pool Finish

Brian i will testify to this. In the last year I've bought two 4lb containers of CYA. One 5 lb container of CH, One 4 lb container of pH up and one 40 lb bag of salt. My chemical cost is almost non-existent. Water stability is AMAZING. So much so that I'm "forcing" myself to check once a week...

I think my original comment was directed towards an "additional" 10-12K That seems pretty silly to me. Your stencils are amazing and obviously would add to the cost. I watched the process in my pool. It is NOT labor intensive and a person with a reasonable brain could probably be completely...

That will probably depend on location and builder. Of course pool size as well. My entire pool build was less than 40K. I can't seem to find my line item contract but I doubt ecoFinish was 1/4 the price of my build. Considering raw materials and labor, it probably should be less than a pebble...

Rain naturally is acidic. Even the non-acidic rain. So any heavy rainfall should lower the pH of a pool. Its not been that wet of a winter for me personally.

    ecoFINISH aquaBRIGHT longterm review

Hello everyone so, the water temp is up to swimming temperature. So I wanted to give an update on the Aquabright pool. We are right at 1 year + 1 month since water fill. General observations. Finish looks great. Absolutely no discoloring, cracking etc. Full disclaimer. Over the winter I pretty...

[FINISHED] New Pool Build in Highland Village TX (Suburb of Dallas, TX)

I believe it is an Inter-Fab table. It was an accessory purchase that the builder offered us. There is an anchor in the deck. Table can be added / removed as desired.

I"LL BE EDITING THIS POST WITH RUNNING Maintenance/upkeep. I have found maintenance on this pool to be very easy. I think the combination of a Salt Water Generator with the inert pool finish is what makes is so easy. When it was brand new I was testing every few days and I've gradually expanded...

    ecoFINISH aquaBRIGHT longterm review

Why did I choose aquaBright? I was primarily interested in the long term benefits of this final finish vs a traditional plaster coating. The big problem with the traditional plaster is that it is chemically active with your pool water. If you don't keep your chemistry correct you can damage the...

    ecoFINISH aquaBRIGHT longterm review

So I’ve had several people sending private messages about how I like the ecoFINISH aquaBRIGHT coating on our pool. Since there seems to be so little information out there on people’s opinions or experiences with the product, I thought that I would start a long term review thread. I’ll try to...

Thought I would post up a pic of the pool again. Now 5 months old. Much of the landscaping around the pool has really come up nicely. I'm also going to start a thread in the Review forum for the aqua bright finish

Unsure about Test Methodology and a Few Other Questions

Disagree with this. Purple is good. If you go all the way to the dark blue you overshot the endpoint of the titration.

Ok folks, 1 week after adding CYA and others to bring things in balance. Here are my just finished testing numbers. FC = 15.5 CC = 0.5 pH = 7.8 CYA = 70 TA = 100 CH = 220 I've really cranked down my SWG. Its rated for 40,000 gallons on my roughly 10,000 gallon pool. I'm gonna add just a bit...

Thanks. We love the waterfall (builder calls it a water wall) as well. There are five water feeds through its length. Still adjusting the valves a little here and there to get the flow we like.
