Buff lueders is actually a color. The stains you describe are probably water stains that would even out if you rinsed the stone down.

I am almost positive now from that picture your expansion joint wasn't done correctly. Because of this the deck was pushing up against the bond beam causing the crack. The oak (probably a post oak) roots then got inside or a combo of the two.

Re: Demo and replace coping... but keep tile? Is this crazy talk? You might be able to salvage the tiles but if not I will PM you a company I have used to buy tiles from locally.

If the plumping leak is for the sprinklers I wouldn't even mess with it right now. Wait till spring when your foot is better and just hand water (if needed) with el nino you might not have to water at all. Now if your like me you are probably going to fix it anyways that way you know its done...

I have quartzscape and its smoother then our old plaster pool. I had a neighbor come by and said my quartzscape was smoother then his new pebblesheen. He wasn't too happy about that because the builder told him that pebblesheen was the smoothest.
