    Generic T15 Salt Cell Options

My opinion is that they are hurting themselves. Hayward OEM parts for any of their products are priced through the roof and I for one will purchase aftermarket parts that are available for the item I am repairing.

Anybody have any luck with "Saran wrapping" their pool?

I have never had a cover rip, and we get some pretty nasty noreasters here on Long Island. I used to buy a good quality cover and use it for multiple years , taking it off every spring and power washing it , letting it dry and humping it up to the storage area in the attic over the garage...

Anybody have any luck with "Saran wrapping" their pool?

Quite honestly, I don't know why you are making life difficult for yourself. I have had an above ground pool for over 50 years. First one was an 18 foot round pool that came with the house, second one was a 33x18 48", had it 30 years and if finally self destructed after one nasty Long Island NY...

Need Help - Hayward AquaRite No Lights

That black thing is called a "Thermistor", it is a common problem with the Hayward Aquarite and AquaTrol. It is a cheap part and can be found on Amazon. It is a pretty easy fix if you have some soldering experience. You have to remove the board from the control box to do it. Aqua-Rite...

    Salt cell impossible to unscrew

don't us a jigsaw - too much up and down oscillation. Better off getting a cheap adjustable dremmel tool with a small cut off wheel or round saw blade. Once you cut a deep enouth groove, you can use a flatbladed screwdriver to pry the ring apart.

    Salt cell impossible to unscrew

If you are looking at the cell from the top of the elbow down, clockwise TIGHTENS THE CELL NOT LOOSENS IT !

another option is to get a hammer and a large flat round punch and with someone holding the cell, hold the punch on the ledges of the ring and tap the punch with the hammer. That might free it up.

    Salt cell impossible to unscrew

If you really crank down on it with a wrench, it actually squeezes the ring and makes it further difficult to unscrew. If you are set on cutting the ring, you might try one of these oscillating multi-tools if you can borrow one if you do not have one. Or a dremmel tool.

    Salt cell impossible to unscrew

I have the same RJ Hayward cell on my above ground pool. Looking from the top of the cell , clockwise tightens the cell, counter clockwise loosens it. I have made that mistake a while back and was actually tightening the cell instead of loosening it. My father was a plumber and he had these...
