    Aquacal heater/chiller with Intellicenter

I called both AquaCal and Pentair today. AquaCal guy argued me with me and offered no help or suggestions whatsoever. I hung up on him. Pentair guy was at least somewhat open to discussing the issue, however Pentair's official stance is they do not support the interaction between...

    Aquacal heater/chiller with Intellicenter

Hello! I found this post again, because all was working well until recently when I tried to run my heater, and I got an error message on my Heat pump that said: ”SMART COMM FAULT” The AquaCal manual says to verify connectivity between your controller and the heater, and I was able to confirm...

Aquacal heater/chiller heat pump with Intellicenter

Just wanted to say these instructions were super helpful. I just had to wire up a new SQ166 that does heat and chill and it took a few tries to get wiring and com port correct, but once we did that, all worked as described here. Thanks again for putting this together. Jeremy

Skimmer lid blew off, can I epoxy it back together?

Hello all - I went on vacation for a couple weeks and while I was gone, the lid on the skimmer basket for the filter pump broke and blew off. This basket is the skimmer for the floor drain in my pool. I believe a bunch of leaves in the deck skimmer clogged the flow of water and caused some...

    Intellivalve shuts off?

Just wanted to share an update in case anyone else had a similar issue. Eventually the valve shut off completely and would not operate by pushing buttons or from the control panel. To be sure it was the valve, I moved the connector over to “valve B” connector on the circuit board but that did...

    Intellivalve shuts off?

Thanks for your reply ajw. This is the only automatic actuator in my system. I have used a multimeter before and understand that it could be used to determine if power is being sent over a line. I’d need to google some specifics about voltage etc. My equipment was installed just over a year...

    Intellivalve shuts off?

Hello! I have an Intellicenter panel connected to an intellivalve on the “Valve A” connection on the control panel. It diverts water to the cleaning system or the water feature in my pool. This valve has worked great for a year, but recently when I turn on the water feature circuit, the...

    intellichlor on wrong pump circuit

Hey Jim! Just wanted to come back to say thanks for your help. Sometime in July the pool guys came back and fixed the wiring for the SWCG and now it gets power with the correct main filter pump. Since that issue was corrected everything with the pool is working great. Your replies helped me...

    New Pentair IntelliCenter Firmware?

My pool company sent me an email this week saying "IntelliCenter users need to install new firmware by Sept 12th". I'm running version 1.047 which has been out since Sept 2020 and is the version currently available for download on the Pentair website. Wondering if the email meant a new...

    another new guy

Hello all! I've recently had a new pool installed and have found several answers to my Intellicenter questions here. Nice to find people who are willing to help when you are stuck on something. My new pool is an 11,000 gallon in-ground gunite salt water pool with an in-floor cleaning system...
