Sorry folks I had it wrong. It blocks flow to the pump when rotated the OTHER way. I got it confused. Does that mean anything different? I guess I could try to check for blockages. Hose is new and I check the cleaner itself all the time. Vacuum head DOES need replacing sometime in the near...

I don't understand? I put that it is a Pentair Clean and Clear pump? and um...there's literally nothing written on that cap. Nowhere does it say INLET on it. 1
