    I take my water sample to my local pool place to be tested. I usually take it weekly and my last test showed all levels to be within normal range.

    When it dries it is almost chalk like. I have had to put phosphate remover in due to high levels. I usually shock every week - week and a half. I put chlorine tabs in filter 1-2 times a week. I have zeobrite that was just changed before I opened it this year.

    The skimmer baskets never look like that when I check them. The pump skimmer basket normally holds a lot of water Beatles (that’s a huge problem for me too).

    Sludge on vacuum filter

    I am wondering if anyone has had this sludge substance after vacuuming using a battery powered vacuum. I have a sand filter and am curious if this is from the sand filter or being caused by something else. The substance is a thick, creamy sludge.
