ok, I felt really guilty for neglecting my poor pool, so I tested the water: FC: 2.0 CC: 1.0 TA : 140 Ca : 340 CYA: 50 PH : 8.2 NaCl : 2740 after 3 months of using the poo guy, they seem pretty good. CYA under control. I was have problems with the acid also.

got the PH to 7.3, 2 days later it was > 8 again (fountain and 3 water jets on). going to have to stay on this.

First, My pH must have been much higher than I thought. I added 1/2 gal of 31.45% HCL and am at 7.8 today. I feel good I'm in a measurable range and will keep working it down. I measured the water from the hose bib- TA is 140. so the only way to lower the TA is adding acid?

As I look at my water wall feature and see the calcium build up i wonder is there a in-line calcium filter that would work? I think they have those filters for filling the pool, does anyone know of something that might work? thanks
