    Aquarite Intermittent Output

Quick update. Turns out for me that the salt cell was indeed faulty after all. Hayward replaced on warranty since it was just within the 3 year allotted time period and its working great now. Excellent call out on the temperature of the water. I originally had the same thoughts but after...

    Aquarite Intermittent Output

Thanks AJ! I've read the article you linked and also checked the joints on both of the boards where those relays are soldered. They look OK. I also checked the voltages using the multi meter as per the Hayward documentation and they also checked out. I did spot that the yellow wire going to the...

    Aquarite Intermittent Output

Happy Holidays! I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before with an Aquarite controller. I replaced the cell and main PCB when we moved into the house almost 3 years ago since the guy who used to look after the pool told me it needed doing. He said it was a bit long in the tooth and the old...

    Stone too soft for SWG?

Just realized that the coping around our IG pool may be too soft for a SWG. Taking a look at it now you can see how it has spots that have eroded over time. Not sure if it's a sandstone or limestone, but it definitely looks porous. Would sealing it be OK and still use a SWG? Or should we avoid...

Should connected SPA CL be higher than Pool and if so how?

Thanks Duraleigh - Should I raise overall CL level to account for the SPA germs? I mean instead of say 3ppm I shoot for 5ppm or does it not matter?

Should connected SPA CL be higher than Pool and if so how?

Experts - ~14,500 GAL In-ground pool with connected SPA. SPA will most likely get more use than pool. Also thinking that since temperature will be higher in that water mass the germs will grow quicker. So should the SPA have a higher CL level than the pool? If so how would one accomplish that...

    Pentair IntelliFlo or SuperFlo?

Are you thinking that a breaker will trip and protect the pump when the surge is over 10Kva Sammy? If that's true than then 80Kva surge protector doesn't necessarily help? I don't know the answer by the way just trying to understand what you wrote...Hopefully CJ will know. I suspect if that was...

    Pentair IntelliFlo or SuperFlo?

That is my thinking Sammy and with my simple pool setup I'm not going to get any of the "advanced" benefits! :) What speed do you folks run your pump at for Circulation and Sweeping? I appreciate every pool is different but I'm guessing there are some rough guidelines based on peoples...

    Pentair IntelliFlo or SuperFlo?

Thanks again all. I'm thinking of shooting for the SuperFlo for all the reasons stated above. Plus this online store has it 50 bucks cheaper than Amazon with free shipping...

    Pentair IntelliFlo or SuperFlo?

Thanks for the quick replies. I really appreciate the input. It sounds like that I can't go wrong with either pump but if I want to plan for automation then the IntelliFlow is the winner. The Intelliflow may also be slighter quieter at the slower speeds given it can shift the same amount of...

    Pentair IntelliFlo or SuperFlo?

Experts, This is my first post on this forum so go easy ;) I just bought a house with a 15K gallon inground pool and spa and am looking to replace the aging single speed ¾ HP Whisperflo that’s currently in there. Two reasons behind my thinking; the cost of power here in So Cal on Tier 2 rate...
