Added to the above. I checked PoolMath, and saw that for during the SLAM, at my 90 CYA, a FC of 35 was prescribed. I guess my 40 wasn't as much off as I thought!

Got the TF-100 finally. Started with CYA test. Well over 100. Am currently draining out half-ish of the pool to refill with water and more liquid chlorine.
