    Radiant Pool and ?'s

Hey all. Well, this last WI winter finally took it's toll on our old 33" AGP. We got ready to take off the winter cover, and with all of the snow, ice, "polar vortex" and just overall nasty winter, we found where a portion of our wall had actually buckled, and the metal tore, liner ripped, etc...

why my pool keep Losing Chlorine?

Goonie, now that you have the TF-100 kit, RELY on that, and that alone. Don't listen to or buy into anything a pool store tells you any more. You can see from your TF-100 that your CYA is WAY too high. You need to drain your pool down and replace with fresh water..it's the only way to lower...

Help with propane to natural gas heater swap

it's sounds to me like a big problem waiting to happen. Do yourself, your family and anyone that lives close to you a favor, and don't try swapping parts out from one heater to another. Unless you are a licensed Hvac or gas Tech, you'd be best off leaving it to the pro's to come in and tell you...

Inherited 18' AG last Fall. First time opening.

welcome to the forum. You'll learn a lot! As you have seen already. You did say you "closed the pool correctly"...I'd say almost :) You don't need the winter "pill thingy" as you called it. That's just more sales gimmick than anything. Keep reading here, including how to close and winterize...

    DIY return/flow director?

Yeah, I could do a threaded fitting with threaded elbow insert, and be able to adjust angle up or down as needed. Think it's time to head to the DIY store to get some pvc fittings!!

Omg what am i doing wrong? My pool is still green!

Holy smokes..if your CYA is really that high, You need to start draining pool water and start over. Secondly get rid of that "green to blue" and other "pool store" garbage. You will need straight chlorine bleach, baking soda, borax and some pool stabilizer (CYA) granules, to keep your pool...

    DIY return/flow director?

Hey all. Ever since I switched out my old Pentair Aqualuminator, with a standard "eyeball" return I have NOT been happy with the way the eyeball doesn't direct the water flow to get the pool push debris around the pool and into the skimmer. My old aqualuminator pushed waterflow right next to...

Winter Cover Options for 24' AGP

I HATE winter covers..with that said..it is a necessary evil for our 33ft agp...because of all the tree's that drop leaves in the fall. I buy the cheapest one I can get, and plan on replacing yearly, or if lucky, every other year. THen when spring comes we pump off as much snow and rain water...
