Second contractor came out this afternoon and said they only chip it all out. Also said tile would most likely need to come out as well. We will see what his quote is later today.

That was my thought how will it line up with the tiles, returns and fixtures.

It will be another pebble type finish. I have another contractor coming out on Monday for another quote and I will see what he says.

That is why I am asking. I would hate to spend 7K on new plaster only for it to fail within a few years.
