    Not one of the experts, but you need to SLAM your pool. The issue is your CYA is too high. Your CYA could be over 100 that is as high as the test goes. You would need to drain off half of your pool and refill to get the CYA down and then SLAM the pool.

    The outside cover is very hard to remove. Almost impossible I would say. I had to remove it from the pool, put it in a vice to hold the threaded side. Then get a giant wrench to unscrew the outside piece. I now can put cover on and take it off no problem. I was confused at first if it was...

    Cleaning Bottom of Intex 14 Round Pool

    I use the intex one that hooks to end of pole and connect water hose to it. It picks up the debris very well. You will have a hard time with small stuff like sand but it works.

    Have any of you hooked it up to the actual return. I can't get the return to unscrew from the collar. I don't think there is a wrench big enough to even try and grab it. Any tips on how to spin it loose?

    I am not an expert, but they are going to tell you that pool store tests are not accurate, and you need a good test kit. Also I would guess you need to know your CYA level in order to know how much chlorine you need to add. Using chlorine tabs adds CYA and over time seems to overload the pool...
