Using a Hot Tub as a Pool in Summer

Check out some of the Swim spas. I have a Hydropool 17' and use it for just that, but they are not cheap. I miss my inground pool, but I couldn't use it in the winter(oct-apr).

Stairs with built in handrail for a tub

I've had good luck with these on my swim spa, confer plastics "Signature Spa Steps - 3 tread". https://www.conferplastics.com/products/signature-spa-steps

Stand-by mode not working most of the type for Hydropool Swim Spa

How long do you wait? Sometime mine shuts down right away, and others I have to wait (never more than a minute) for it to cool down, like you say.

    To Hot Tub or No

I think its much easier. I've been using the bromine guidelines here for about a year on my swim spa. Before that I ran an inground chlorine/salt pool for many years. Best news is, if you mess up it, its so much easier to just flush and start over.

    Bromine or Chlorine?

I've been following the bromine guidelines on this site for the last 8 months, and have had lots of luck with my new swim spa. Prior to that I used the chlorine guidelines for my pool, and had great luck with that those. I wouldn't be afraid of bromine for you spa, and you can easily dump it and...

    Fiberglass Pool Options

I pretty sure that 6' is with the pool full to the top, but with the skimmer it will never be that full. My pool was listed at 5'10", but its about 5'6" at half way on the skimmer.

    Filter cartridge

I replaced mine after 3 years, I still keep it on hand and use it as a spare while I'm cleaning the new one.

Concrete Pool Coping Bricks and a Fiberglass Pool - Bad Idea???

The coping is done with adhesive, sorry I don't remember the brand. The inside gap is just a bead of clear silicone caulk. I'll try to get a shot of it and post, its not too bad, I really don't notice it.

Concrete Pool Coping Bricks and a Fiberglass Pool - Bad Idea???

Won't you have a concrete skirt to glue down too as well as the fiberglass rim?

    Frustration with Pool Depth

I bet the 6'8" is when it's full to the top, and above the skimmer. I'm going to guess it will be more like 6' anyway. Mine is 5'5"(5'10' if full to overflowing). You can cannonball, but you have to be careful you can hit the bottom.

    Safety Cover

I'm on my 4th year with this GLI solid cover with a full length mesh drain. It's holding up well. I usually open in May, mainly clear besides the stuff they gets under the cover(worms, leaves, dirt). GLI Pool Products - Product Detail

    Fiberglass Pool Build Southeast PA

A few things to note. The 6'6" depth is if the pool is full to the top, with the skimmer in you will probably lose 6". Also, I would have a conversation (and get it in writing if you can), about how level the pool will be. Mine was about 2" off, and if I didn't notice it they would have left...
