I was looking into upgrading my pump by switching to an intex sand filter I may also add the Chlorine generated later. With pump would be the best choice the intex 1600 or 2650? My pool is a summer escapes 16 x48 pro series

The pool is suppose to have a 1000 gph pump which mounts on the bottom of the skimmer. I really doubt it can move that much water with the vacuum attached it has very little suction
