    Suggestions for Plumbing Setup?

My build is coming to an end and the PB is looking to change how the pumps are assigned to features. Today, I have a VSP which runs the pool, spa and bubblers. I have a 1.5HP Whisperflow which runs the in-floor cleaner and waterfall. A couple of interesting behaviors I've noted are that when...

ScreenLogic Controls Spa with All On/Off

Neighbor’s pool guy had a look and said something was mislabeled in the programming. Don’t know what he did at the box. But now it’s all good. Thanks for looking.

ScreenLogic Controls Spa with All On/Off

I've noticed that using the lighting all on/off control also turns spa mode on and off. I've tried removing all lights from special lights; but even then, the spa is still controlled with all on/off. Any ideas? Thanks, Edward

Exposed rebar and plumbing after gunite

The engineers I've spoken to indicated that it's not acceptable to have plumbing touching rebar as it needs at least 1.5" of coverage. Unfortunately, I don't know conclusively that the mat wasn't touching the soil. I do know, and you can see in the pic above, that no spacers were used on any...

Exposed rebar and plumbing after gunite

Thanks for the advice. I've talked to a couple of independent engineers and I do think there are problem. I'm waiting to meet with the PB engineer. But the more research I do, the more concerned I am. Looking at the last pic I posted, it seems that the plumbing around the pool was secured to...

Exposed rebar and plumbing after gunite

I don't have an engineer stamp on my plans. Specs call for rebar size and spacing. What I think I'm seeing is deviations from building code requirements for steel reinforced concrete walls - namely inadequate coverage. When I look around the bond beam and see that the majority has exposed...

Exposed rebar and plumbing after gunite

The PB says there are materials that can waterproof the area. I'm concerned for a couple of reasons. In this area of the spa, it appears that I've got 6" of gunite inside the bond beam and 0" outside. I'm more concerned because the outermost band of the bond beam rebar is exposed around most...

Exposed rebar and plumbing after gunite

Let me start by saying that we had an issue which resulted in our spa being slightly rotated. This was most noticeable on the spillway. The PB jackhammered out the spillway and reconstructed it from rebar to plumbing. However, after gunite, there are areas of exposed rebar and plumbing. Upon...
