    Closing pool after refinishing

Refinished our pool earlier this summer with SGM DiamondBrite exposed aggregate quartz finish. New tile and coping as well but I don't know if any details on that are relevant. As I expected, I've had to battle rising pH a bit, but its been manageable. I have a company closing the pool...

Thoughts on chlorine pucks in skimmer or a floater?

I just had my pool refinished, and the company they had manage the water for 2 weeks after plaster did exactly this. I actually removed them and placed in a floater because it seemed wrong to me. This company also tried to sell me on a $160/mo winter water management program.

    Pool Care After Refinishing

Thank you, I will do that. Should I plan to monitor CSI through winter then? Or is the product enough to cover me?

    Pool Care After Refinishing

Hi Matt The pool is covered and closed all winter no matter what - it gets a little too cold to swim here in New Jersey from October - April, even with the heater and a very warm beverage.

    Pool Care After Refinishing

We just had our pool refinished with SGM DiamondBrite finish. As part of the refinishing, a separate company took care of the water chemistry for the first 2 weeks. They are now pushing a "Winter Watch Protection" program on me at a rate of $160 a month. I am not going to do that, obviously...

    Leak at heater

I put some pure silicone to try and band it but from photo I posted, I need to replace that part. Working on figuring out that part now but doesn’t seem like something carrier in general plumbing section of Lowes/HD and the crack team at my local Leslie’s had no clue.

    Leak at heater

As an update, the issue was apparent when I opened it. Appears that the coupler cracked over winter. Going to try and find replacement parts today.

    Leak at heater

See attached. Small leak from top pipe. Everything working fine but want to address. Heater was installed last year so I am sure I could get the guy out but who knows how long. Seems like it might be an easy fix. Leak is where the white coupling (?) meets the black pipe.
