    Pool Cover Recommendation

We have had a 30' AGP for 5 years and cover it each year. At first I went with the cheapest cover I could find (~$40) and the were basically trash after only 1 years use. So I thought I would go with a better quality one and last one I purchased was ~$80. It was better quality and lasted 2...

    Moles...

OK the moles have got me aggravated this year. I don't know how well you can see in these pictures to get the right perspective, but the trenches are 1" - 3" deep. 1.This one is along the wall. 2. Coming out from the wall to the center. 3. Spots along the wall where he changed his...

    Pool opening roll call!!

After a very mild winter here in KY, it looks like spring has arrived. This winter we had only 8 days where the high was below 40, compared to 44 days last year. And only 1 day where the high didn't get above the freezing mark, compared to 14 last year. Worst (only) snow "storm" 1.5" this winter...

New AG Pool Very Not level ground

Our soil type here is more like clay and there is no water table to speak of. Now with that being said, we have a 30' pool that is installed on what was uneven ground (about 6' - 7' drop). On the high side, we cut into the ground about 1'-2' and then back filled on the low side. In the picture...

    Pool cover question

OK so I got another low cost cover. It has been on for about a week and it is also on the way to be ruined. How can I stop it from doing this? This is only about a 10mph wind and we will get up to 30 mph here during storms.

    Pool cover question

I have a 30' dia above ground pool. Last year we bought an $80 cover that was supposed to have a 10 yr warranty. Well the wind here ruined it in just one year and we don't have the receipt. :? Any recommendations for an inexpensive cover that will last?

    Time to Close?

It seems like Septembers here are either very hot or on the cool side. This year looks like it is shaping up to be a cool one. Keeping it open to fight algae sounds like a good idea, but I think only one or maybe 2 more swimming days if lucky. The software is used for my personal weather station...

    Time to Close?

Well the weather has definitely cooled off here. So what do you think, time to close the pool? I don't usually get home till after 6:00pm and the sun is mostly down by then. Check out the temp drop. It is not supposed to hit 80 outside for at least a week.
