Need some help cleaning up a mess.

Thanks to all for the help so far. Discovered a new addition that had to be fished out of 48 degree water as it was sitting perfectly on the main drain intake grate, and I could not get it to budge while on the pool deck with every pole tool I have :grrrr...

Need some help cleaning up a mess.

Bump, CC levels are now less than 0.5 after another round back up to 16ppm FC. FC holding steady and has not dropped in at least 12 hours. Pool water still cloudy, and I can't see the main drain still. Water is getting a bit clearer but very very slowly. We are now about a week in with pumps...

Need some help cleaning up a mess.

Interesting development, Last night I checked my levels about 5pm local time and had 12ppm FC and 1.5 ppm CC. The levels had been staying very stable as I had not had to add anything to the water in almost 24 hours and was not loosing more than ~0.5 ppm every 24 hours. When I tested the water...

Need some help cleaning up a mess.

Need some help cleaning up a mess.

Hello to all, I just closed on a new house with a large ~30K gallon plaster indoor pool that probably has not seen any maintenance or chemicals in over 18 months. Initially the water was greyish green and had the following chemistry. FC - 0 ppm CC- 0 ppm CYA - 3 ppm PH - 7.8 Hardness 312 ppm...

There is no UV or ozone on this pool. I was considering doing a ozone system so as to keep the chlorine levels at an absolute minimum. Not really big on the idea of using salt / SWG. At some point I will be using the pool for private SCUBA classes as well, so I will want it sanitized well but...

Hello to all, Just getting started on turning a large swamp (and yes it's about this color) into what should be a beautiful indoor pool. We just purchased the home and the pool has not had any maintenance for at least one and a half years. I figure the one thing going for me at the moment is...
