Re: CSPC36, Shld I buy new cell - Controller wire is melted Hi All, I have an email into compupool at this time.. I am a little worried about spending monies on a new cell only but it seems like the cell has its own warranty. Would I void it if I hook it up? Seems awful expensive for the...

CSPC36, Shld I buy new cell - Controller wire is melted.

Hi All, We have obtained a used CSPC36 with a burnt cell. Is it worth buying a new cell at about $400 for this? does the cell come with a warranty or guarantee? The original owner experienced a short in the end with the elec connection. The controller seems fine but the wire is melted on...

Blew pump-wait for Pentiar Rep. or buy new motor

I need a little advice. Last week I hooked up the new pentair superflo and upon powering up it blew fuses and more. Wiring example supplied verbally by Pentair was wrong and the diagram was blury - so I did the wiring. Now the pump doesn't work so I feel the motor is blown. Also, I don't...

    new pump is 220V

I called Pentair service Monday eve. and we went thru a couple of tests. My pump is not changing speed, it should operate on high and then I switch it to low. Pentair put a service call in for me and said a service representative will call within 2 days and then come to check it out. One...

    new pump is 220V

ummm you can read that diagram. It is blury on the pump!! I need glasses. So do I need another leg to #2 on pump? maybe by a pigtail? or just move the red wire to #2?

    new pump is 220V

It worked!!! I moved one red supply wire to the #1 position on pump. The pump is running. But it is slow but when I toggle the switch on the back of the pump it doenst change any speeds. Just on slow. Did I blow the switch? My wireing is such that Switch #1 position with a white wire goes...

    new pump is 220V

So I should move a red from position 3 to 1. But it looks as if this is not connected to anything? The pentair guy stated to connect a red to the white and black. I thought putting the wire on position 3 ocnnected it to the white and I did a direct connection with the black. I will switch...

    new pump is 220V

Well here are some pics. I turned elec on and the breakers clicked off again... I disconnected the red wires and they do measure 110v. The pump came with a white and yellow (connected to motor) and a black (pigtailed w/plastic cap). I removed the black wire and connected the red to directly...
