    We're FINALLY making the switch

Haven't been on here for a while and just read your post. I made the switch about 2 years ago without the drain and refill, and it took a lot of chlorine to get it right. Sounds like you are ahead of the game with the drain and refill which is good. If I remember correctly you may want to...

    High T/A

Getting ready for another swimming season in Illinois. Opened 2 days ago F/C was 0 added 1 gallon of 12.5% per pool math. CYA was 10 or less so added acid per pool math using the sock method, almost finished with that. PH is 7.8, T/A is 120. Just checked F/C is 9. Water is crystal clear. So...

    Started Baquacil Conversion

Keep going and do not give up.. Did my conversion last year, with the help of "Texas Splash" and others and it worked out very well. It took almost a month to finish the conversion but well worth the time and effort. Good luck.

    Please help with Water

A little late on posting to this thread but I had the same issue with my 100 lb. sand filter not filtering algae debris. I was using Baquacil before making the switch to chlorine and had to use a flocculant several times and vacuum to waste because the filter would expel the green stuff back...

Looking for AGP winter Pool Cover considering micro mesh. Any experiences?

I guess that would work if you could find quality rings. The straps are in most hardware stores.

Looking for AGP winter Pool Cover considering micro mesh. Any experiences?

The loops are just as good as the day we installed them. The straps remain soft and flex easily. The cost is double a regular cover but we were buying one every 2 or 3 years because the wing and snow just destroyed them, plus all the dirt and stuff that came into the pool. We do drain below...

Looking for AGP winter Pool Cover considering micro mesh. Any experiences?

That bothered me too at first, but we had quite a bit of snow last winter and it worked fine. The rubber straps stretch enough to keep the cover in place. I forgot to mention that the first time we installed it we noticed a flaw in one of the stitches. We took pictures and sent them to...

baqc conversion solar cover on or off

Need a little help here. PH tonight was 7.4. TA was 200. Pool math says to lower PH to 7.0-7.2 with acid and aerate to increase PH. Does that make sense? Or am I ok with TA that high. Forgot FC at 7.5. FC - 7.5 PH - 7.4 TA - 200 CYA - 30

    Converting from Baquacil to ?

On the tail end of converting from Baquacil to chlorine. DO IT !! My pool has never looked this good. My plan is, after getting my chemistry good is to use liquid chlorine, 12.5%. Menards has it for 14.99 per case, 4 jugs per case. The cost savings using chlorine vs. Baquacil is well worth...
