Here are my most recent test results. Finally got the TA down from 280 on 5/18. You all were right it is quite a process... FC 1 CC 3 TC 4 pH 7.0 TA 90 CH 90 CYA ~80 Lots of chlorine to add tonite, but other that that how do things look. I want to add borates but have just been working on...

I added the drops and got the color change from pink to clear with 8 drops (so 4ppm). While reading the directions for performing the next test, the solution changed back to a very light pink color. Should i add another drop or 2 to get it to remain clear longer and count that into the FC ppm...

i had thrown in some granular (tri-chlor i think) before i stocked up on bleach, so that could push me a little higher i believe. so no more tri-chlor, no more CYA. i dropped the pool level a little and will let the rain dilute it down. have a fiberglass so don't want to drop the water level...

I was confused about different uses for borax, read the stickies and it is more clear now... as far as the cya addition, went to leslies w/ level of close to 0, they sold me 4lb bucket and said this should get me right where I want to be. I added 3.5 lbs.

I am in the middle of the aeration process, took 12 hrs but got the pH from 7.0 back up to 7.4. TA still too high, I have added more acid but also wanted to get my FC a little higher too. What if I push my pH too low by adding both acid and bleach at about he same time. Should I add some BS...
