    Ceramic hose weight

Thanks. Well the manufacturer had not heard of it either. Got a new one and all is good.

    Ceramic hose weight

Suddenly my ceramic hose weight is floating. Is this something that happens? Is there a fix or do I have to replace it? I use this to hold my feeder line down in a pail of liquid chlorine.

Thanks Marty, I've learned a lot here and you all seem to be able to help with any issues I ever have. I appreciate that very much.

    Chemtrol 250 orp/ph controllers

Actually is is Marty, we have been able to keep it in the 13 -15 ppm range and have had clear health test reports. The system actually works very well once we figured it out.

    Skimmer safety anti entrapment covers

Thanks, that was pretty much my thoughts too, I am now trying to find out exactly where this information is supposedly coming from. Although he was in the pool industry, he really did not appear to be wanting to up sale us, so I'm confused over this.

    Skimmer safety anti entrapment covers

Is this a thing? Someone in the pool industry brought this up today, that all suction ports need an anti entrapment device. I cannot even find such a thing online. I find main drain anti entrapment but nothing for a skimmer. Any ideas/thoughts?

    Chemtrol 250 orp/ph controllers

Thanks Marty, they are using stenner pumps for feeding, the chemtrol just automates the feed. We did install the sensors in the main plumbing so were able to bypass the flow switch and it is working well now. The CYA in their pool was very high, over 120 so we did do a partial drain and it is...

    Chemtrol 250 orp/ph controllers

Marty...what do you use then? I've been using ORP for many years in an outdoor pool and it seems to work fine. The question about the Chemtrol system is for a neighboring pool that I have been trying to help them get set up again. We did figure out how to bypass the flow switch and it too...

    Chemtrol 250 orp/ph controllers

I'm not sure this is the best forum to post this in but... I have a question about these system. Do you have to have the safety rotary flow switch hooked up to use this or can you by pass it?

    Anyone know what this is?

Thanks everyone for your help. I think I will just order the main drain and the pool lights just to be on the safe side. I at least have them then when we replace the liner this fall.

    Anyone know what this is?

Only a main drain in the floor. - - - Updated - - - Pool is about 15 years old, liner is about 10 years old. I'm guessing this would be about 10 to 12 inches around. I'm thinking it must be part of the main drain.

    Anyone know what this is?

I know it is some part that is under the vinyl liner but just not sure what. We are replacing the liner this fall and would like to be able to identify it so we can order that part as well. We had to physically cut the liner to retrieve this as it had broken off and migrated to the bottom of...

    Managing high ground water

Between the road and the pool, 1st pic, we also have power lines coming in near the building. You can actually see where they were redone last year. (Dirt by building). We had a total failure of the underground lines....not good. The other side slopes away into a small ravine, and no...

    Managing high ground water

I’m trying to figure out a plan of action before we install another liner to our 100,000 liter sports pool next year. We CONSTANTLY have issues with high ground water so we are pumping out that water every spring ( a lot of it) and of and on all swimming season. We pump it out now by removing a...
