I'm 99% sure it's pump driven, but I may have confused that with the concrete fountain/bowls.

Some shots of the travertine at various different stages. These were all shot at dusk. The tile definitely changes mood with the ambient light.

    Fixing depth profile

I had the same thought. I’m not sure I’d feel great about just pouring concrete. I’d be concerned about the plaster longevity. However, if they could tie in rebar mats into the existing gunite, I’d feel better. Looking forward to seeing Brad’s response.

    Fixing depth profile

Feaker, I really went back and forth with depth, and similar to you, I felt my pool was too deep with too aggressive of a depth fall off. One issue I face in Austin with the direct sunlight my pool gets is the temperature. My neighbor three houses down has a similar pool in an almost identical...

They're laying down the Travertine pavers today. I'll try to get pictures later today from my wife.

I think it looks quite nice. I haven't gone in to the pool to see it from there. There's also a piece of wood still in the corner with a piece of paper taper to it which was used to attach the string which was used to level off the cement, so you can see it in the picture at the corner. It'll...

Austin, TX - Above Ground Salt Water Pool in Canyon - Construction Started 09/30/19

After more than 6 months of designs, working with builders/contractors, I finally pulled the trigger on a build. It cost me almost double what I set out to pay, but the more time I invested, the less corners I wanted to cut. I wouldn't be here with this builder if it wasn't for an individual on...

Glass on the edge was put on today! It's interesting how much it changes color depending on angle and sun. I can't wait to see what it look like with water!

Wife and designer did the grout selection so honestly I don’t know, haha.

Once the glass gets in and pavers, it should look pretty slick. For now it’s just slow as molasses progress :/

Things have been slow, partially due to a ton of rain Austin has had. Also, my pool builder and the person on his team that designed the pool had a mis-communication and didn't cut the concrete at the 45 degree in-angle (knife edge) that we agreed upon, so a team spent two days cutting concrete...

    New build about to start

Looking good, I think you're basically caught up to where my pool is at, and you did it in 1/20th the amount of time :/ Mine's making slow progress with coping and waterline tile now, you're not that far from there!

Man that’s some serious progress. Ironically it snowed in Austin last night.

Skywalker, well done. I see you've also met Jim, he helped me out a lot early on here. Small world around these parts. Can't wait to bring the family over to your finished project ;)
