I was having this problem, a large boom on ignition. The problem was that the ignitor stick was askew by 7 degrees to it's mount. That caused the ignitor to not be right in the propane stream from the jet. Pull out the ignitor, and make sure it is at 90 degrees to the mounting plate that...
