Changing liner need help with floor.

Typically the pool bottom is vermiculite or a vermiculite and sand mixture. I would suggest a mixture of sand and vermiculite as it is more cost effective and easier to shape.

New Filberglass pool install. 2" off level

I am very sorry to hear about your problem. Me myself I would not be satisfied with the pool being out 2". I would have them demo all the concrete decking, pull it and then reset the pool. I would also ask that the manufactures rep inspect the shell prior to resetting it as I would be concerned...

    abandoned pool and mosquitos

Unfortunately it is a vinyl liner in ground pool so I believe draining it will not be an option. She put a for sale by owner sign up last week however unless she mows the lawn and cleans the pool up no one in their right mind will ever look at it.

    abandoned pool and mosquitos

Thanks for all the reply's so far guys. Victor's vector is Northeast Georgia, it is very rural area. I have five acres of land and the neighbor in question resides on 2.5 acres. You would think that there would not be an issue given the amount of land however there is. I think I will end up...

    abandoned pool and mosquitos

So my neighbor more or less abandoned her house for several months and now her pool is a giant mosquito pond. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I might put in the pool to eliminate the mosquito's? We never had a mosquito issue prior to this event so it is most definitely associated...

Adding Fiberoptic perimeter lighting to existing viynl lined pool

I purchased a kit ten years ago for an old in ground vinyl liner pool. The kit came with short 1' long plastic coping sections that you gently hammered in the grove that the liner fit in. I used a rubber mallet to tap them into place. They acted as a liner lock as well although I didn't need...

Salt water pool and fencing options

The biggest concern I have about the salt water is that when it is splashed outside of the pool onto the concrete deck it can settle in the cored holes and the steel fence may start rusting prematurely from this area. Maybe I am a bit to concerned however I believe it is smart to ask the forum...

Salt water pool and fencing options

I am about to have a fence installed around our newly finished pool and was wondering about steel vs aluminum. The pool is an in-ground steel walled pool with vinyl liner with and a salt system chlorine generator. I had three fencing companies come out, two offered either aluminum and powder...

Advice for newbie. What to do with my old liner pool?

I am surprised that a new liner and plumbing less the concrete deck would cost that much. I would get three estimates on installing a new liner fixing the plumbing and pouring a new deck. Then wait till the off season when everyone is slow and get the best deal possible on the above mentioned...

    Is this okay

I am glad that you found the cause as you have a good leg to stand on if they do not make good on things. Which at this point from all you have gone through is encouraging. I hope they do the right thing for you now. Best of luck, Vic

    Is this okay

I think you have been patient enough and now it is time for the gloves to come off. If the liner manufacture does not want any part of it I would report the pool store and or their subcontractor the installer to the BBB. If that does no give them the incentive to make things right the next step...

    Is this okay

Don not pay him the balance of the money. Insist that he have a representative from the manufacturer of the liner come to evaluate the problems. I am sure after the manufactures representative see's the problem first hand, he will advise the installing contractor and store owner to remeasure and...

That doesn't sound good. Hopefully he will show up to finish the job. I hate to ask but did you pay him for anything yet?

    Is this okay

If he can get all of the bead to stuff back in there, the next step would be to set the liner with a vacuum. When the liner is sucked into place you should know if you are going to have problems. If there are wrinkles present during this process you will have them forever, if there are no...
