Guess could have said I just used a little more than the slam said I needed instead of using term dbl shocking. But did pretty much what it says to do here and still had no fc after.

Had what appeared to be mustard alge so dbl shocked pool, after 24 hrs pool cloudy and fc about 2. Last night added about 130 oz of chlorine and this morning pool still cloudy and no chlorine. So shocked again. What now. ph 7.4, ta 80, cya 50

Finnished slamming and everything clear as bell for now, just want to keep it that way. Use taylor 2006 with the FAS-DPD.

Using liquid and maybe 1 tablet every 2 weeks, takes that long to dissolve, last yr 2 a week. Liquid is sometimes hard to find. Need a swag but still have a new one on hand that is too small for this pool, bought for smaller pool and then gave pool away.

Oh it has over run several times and I have drained off several thousand gallons of water as well, but each time I test it looks to be about the same cya level and I have hard time telling when black dot disappears so I take some to the ace hardware for test. Moved from here. Is it best to drain water from bottom of pool or from top level since it seems the extra 1.5 feet of rain over the last month is not changing my cya very much. I see it around 40 something but pool stores says 50 to 61 from 4 different testing sites. Old eys makes it hard to...

Used the 10 and based on that and what was explained here then my free chlorine would be 6.5 so I guess is ok for every day use? Kit 2006c and do u use level amount or heaping amount.

Having hard time figuring out how to do the chlorine test with this powder stuff. Followed directions and put 2 scopes (level?) into water and it turned red. Started to do drops and it took 13 to neutralize but don't know what that means. My other kit just does chlorine reading but no free...

Tested pool and most stuff looked good but cya was over 80, so based on that I replaced about 4000 gallons of water. Now I heard or read u need to wait for about 7/10 days and test again. My question, will it be higher or lower right after replacing the water or after waiting time period. Just...
