    oversized liner

agreed, after a night of sleeping on it thats really the way it is, probably possible but would look terrible, and I agree about the algae.

    oversized liner

I got a bit of an oddball sized pool, 20' round, and had some significant ice damage to the liner this year. 20' liners are pretty hard to find now, anyone think a 21' liner would work?

    POOL LOCATION- Please Help

Where I live it's 6' and I can tell you that the inspector never get it a thought, in some locations inspectors only worry about the serious things and not the trivial, others are sticklers for details. Ask your local planning dept, they'll let you know.

Upright rubbing finish of pool wall

Your in Illinois so you get pretty cold winters correct? I'd bet it's because there's not much room between the decking and the post, I'd bet that your getting a bit of movement between the two during winter freeze/thaw. I left about around 1 inch between my deck and pool, 3 years later I have...

metal frame poles leaning slightly 15x48 intex

I've seen lots of posts here that say 2" is the max, if you want to see them start searching, it's a pretty standard opinion here. 1" is the manufacturers recommeded limit with lots of people saying anything past 2" as getting risky.

Aqua Leader - Sentinelle 27' x 54" support post issue.

Re: Aqua Leader Round has a low section - HELP!!!!! PLEASE!! You can't raise the posts on steel walled pools, it's not just the post that your impacting, it's also the bottom rail that the wall is resting in, you'll destroy the bottom rails. If it needs to be fixed the only way is to take it...

Aqua Leader - Sentinelle 27' x 54" support post issue.

Re: Rounding the Corner to a New Pool Build Agree, rkol needs a seperate thread. Rkol, looking at the horizon line of your top rail it looks wavy to me, you may be struggling with an improperly leveled site. How did you level site, what tools did you use and how close to level is it. Perhaps...

Re: Install issue top rail not fitting! Don't freak out. I've seen other pics of oval pools with wavey side walls, I believe that is normal. Is the pool wall seated in all the bottom rails/tracks? I believe the bottom rails along the sides are actually curved a bit, every pic I've seen shows...

You dont want a pool, its too much work!

You spend 30 minutes a day looking after your pool.....it's way easier than that, I have a friend that spends about 15 minutes a week on his pool  I'm with you, I spend about the same amount of time as you and it's not that bad, still, some people would just rather spend that time...

    Frustration with contractors

Prospector, your in TO, I wonder if it's because the season is short in our province so perhaps pool companies are full bore into construction projects and, as bad as it sounds, your project simply dosn't present enough profit for them to put off other projects. The high bid may also speak to...

Re: Install issue top rail not fitting! He adds guys to his job so now he expects you to pay extra......ya, I know where I'd be telling him to stick that idea. If he underbid that's his problem, sounds like he's trying to take advantage of you. If your willing to call it even on the 850 then HE...

Re: Install issue top rail not fitting! If you haven't payed the bill in full, don't. Don't pay up until your fully satisfied, because once you do the installer won't have much interest in fixing anything. From your pic showing the string, I'm not a "professional installer" but I could have...

    Best time to buy

If your content to ride out this summer then it's not a bad idea to use the down time in the winter to properly plan everything out, that way you can hit the ground running in early spring.

    How long will this take??

I leveled my site (8" down on one side) and isntalled pool all by myself, took about 7-10 days, that is from undisturbed site to swim ready.
